An excellent light outdoor jacket bought to replace an older version that is still going strong after 5 years.

Functional Jan 07, 2008

I purchased the jacket for my 14 year-old son who is quite tall. It is a bit more stylish than the usual fleece jackets and he has had a lot of favorable comments from his friends. It could do with being a couple of inches longer but overall, a good buy.
Super warm, a little short Jul 16, 2009

I'm 6'00" and have never had to buy the Tall version of any jacket. This fleece feels a little short (and wide) compared to other jackets I own, but as a liner it is unbeatable. I swapped out the standard liner in one of my shells and the overall system felt immediately warmer, less bulky, and MUCH more breathable. Additionally, the sleeves are lined with nylon, making them exceedingly warmer than the torso of the jacket. This is an especially good pairing for a shell with pit zips as the combination will save you from sweating to death when your "micro-climate" starts to increase.
Warmer then expected Apr 27, 2009
By Felipe It made me comfortable in 10+ mph winds and at a temperature of 30 degrees. I've been using front chest pocket for cell phone stoage. It's not all fleece, the black parts are nylon(?) with fleece inside.
Versatile Jacket for Four Seasons Apr 06, 2009
By R. Ferguson This is one of four Columbia jackets I own. I left the model prior to this one on a plane and missed it very much. This particular model has a light to medium fleece weight, stops most cold breezes, and has hard to find (in most jacket designs) armpit zippers that are essential to dry mountain climates with warm sun even in winter, and then cold when sun disappears. Great for strenuous activity or just walking the dog. It has some water resistance for snow and sleet, and rugged material in wear points. The front breast pocket is good for dog radio control transmitters or radios and cell-phones. This is the one jacket I keep in the car. Nice styling too, but I bought it for usage features.
