crapy sandals Mar 01, 2008

"just facts"
They have a weathered leather appearence and not so comfortable to wear. Wouldn't recommend to any one. Too late to return.

Slippery, poorly designed, very loose-fitting Mar 26, 2008
By Poogy I usually wear rubber flip-flops with nylon straps, such as the ones made by Island Pro or Scott, but when I saw these I thought I'd give them a try. I wear sandals every day, and hope to get at least two years of wear out of a pair; these looked sturdy.
Initially, I was impressed by the way they're constructed--leather straps, canvas on the top and a hard rubber sole. I thought they'd last a long time. For the first few days they were very uncomfortable--like a board strapped to my foot--but after a week or so I started getting used to them and they felt fine.
But especially after they'd been broken in and the leather straps had stretched a little, they fit very, very loosely. It's fine for casual strolling, but if you wear them everywhere, uphill, downhill, occasional running for a bus, etc., they really should be more snug. They cut the straps and inserted a short strip of canvas in the strap, apparently because they thought it looks nice, but it lengthens the straps, and the sandals would fit much better if they had left the straps alone, or if the toe post were a little shorter so the straps held the foot more snugly. Also, the canvas soles on these quickly becomes very smooth, so there's nothing for the sole of your foot to grab as you walk; it feels as though your foot is continually slipping a little with every step. The rubber ones I've worn for many years have more grip on the sole of the foot.
So these feel pretty insecure under most conditions. I don't wear them very much--I went out and bought another pair of rubber ones from Island Pro.
UPDATE:
The longer I wear these, the less I like them. Just not a good design. Not only are they slippery and loose-fitting, but they aren't even as rugged as I'd assumed--the woven inner sole (between your foot and the rest of the sandal) starts fraying quickly. I rarely wear them, and would not recommend them.
Broken after 6 months Dec 09, 2009
By John Coaster The 'toe post' (the part between your toes) broke out of the sole after six months. Unfortunately my girlfriend threw them out before I could send them back to Dr. Marten's for replacement. They were comfortable while they lasted.

"SHOES"
disappointed. These are very good appearance and materials, but they have a defect in their manufacture, shooting the finger placed it very annoying because of where it should go back and annoying, making it impossible to walk with them, perhaps this the reason for its price so low , Is not an offer, a deception!
