Looks better than it is Jan 27, 2008
By C. V. Le These shoes (I bought the brown ones) definitely did not live up to my expectations. They felt cheaply made. They are much 'pointier' in the toe than would appear in the images. Also, that suede appearance really looks cheap on the actual product. I returned them immediately upon arrival, even though I only paid <$40.
I must say the return process was the best part of this transaction. Amazon handled it extremely fast and well, without any hassle. That's why I will continue to shop here, even though I wasn't happy with the product.

Great Shoe but the Size... Feb 13, 2008
By H. Ortiz I love the shoe but the size was too large and since I received free shipping, I would have to pay for that shipping plus the shipping to send it back so that would have cut my saving on the purchase plus when I when to checked for a smaller size, the item was sold out-Bummer. So I like the shoe, no complaints there but the size... Everything else was great as usual...

cool boots Feb 08, 2008
By Brandon Davidson The only complaint that I have is that my dress pants get stuck on the top, especially with that little pull tab in back. They go great with jeans though.

cool comfort Dec 31, 2007

Wow! This boot is so comfy its unbelievable. It provides great support for the arch and my ankles. I do a great deal of walking and so I always need comfortable shoes. One of the things I really love about this boot is its rubber sole, since I live in a tropical climate I have found that leather soles are not always as durable, because of the high humidity leather soles tend to collect fungus when they are not in use and lessen the lifespan of the shoe.Of course my main reason for buying this boot is because it looks cool and stylish.

(Maybe it's just my pair, but....) Save your Money Jan 18, 2008

Got this boot in the Sand color, nubuck leather, at the 38.99 price and didn't expect much. These shoes are exceptionally poor compared to shoes I've owned by Johnston & Murphy or Shipton & Heneage. The leather is relatively cheap, but that was expected. The surprises were that I can see the glue used to attach the uppers to the sole. There is also a small overhanging flap of material extending the length of the zipper on the interior liner of the boot, that juts out just behind the zipper in a manner begging to be caught in the zipper if you aren't careful. Finally, my shoes (8.5) ran way big; wearing wool dress socks the average 8.5 is a little snug but here the shoes were pretty loose. Was looking for a cheap kick around town shoe so I didn't expect much, but I'm still going to send these back.
