Seems to work fine, but...ugh! Jul 21, 2008

I got a 1-ounce bottle of this product in a trial kit from Sephora along with other MD Skincare products. First of all I was very surprised to see a cleanser with toner added. We are always told to use toner to wipe away any lingering traces of cleanser! Having toner in a cleanser seems as useless as having sunscreen in a cleanser. Any benefit you might get from it will be washed down the drain.
However, I tried it, and it seems to work fine; I have dry skin and didn't notice any excessive dryness afterwards, or any excessive oiliness. Followed with the MD Skincare sunscreen lotion (orange bottle) my skin looked great.
The one thing I can't stand - which is absolutely going to stop me buying this product again - is that it is a horrible texture and color. Forgive my vulgarity but it looks like a lump of snot from someone with a bad infection. It's a lumpy yellow-green mess and it's truly disgusting to look at. I'm sure there are plenty of good or excellent cleansers out there which don't have this lack of appeal. So, too bad, MD, but I'm not going to be a repeat customer on this one. I notice Nordstrom has a good deal on it, if you like it: a 16-ounce pump bottle and a 1-ounce pump bottle together for $57.
